Scientists hunt for clues behind fibromyalgia pain and sleep problems

NCT ID NCT07358754

First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026

Summary

This study looks at two proteins in the blood—S100B and BDNF—to see if they are linked to pain sensitivity and poor sleep in people with fibromyalgia. Researchers will compare 60 women with fibromyalgia to healthy women. The goal is to better understand what causes fibromyalgia symptoms, not to test a new treatment.
