Surgical glue tested to ease pain after knee surgery

NCT ID NCT07455591

Summary

This study tested if adding a special surgical glue, called a fibrin sealant, to a standard medication could help people recover better after total knee replacement surgery. It involved 78 patients who were randomly assigned to receive either the standard medication alone or the medication plus the sealant during their operation. The main goal was to see if the sealant reduced pain, improved movement, and lessened blood loss in the first day after surgery.
