Freezing hope: new procedure aims to save cancer Patients' future fertility

NCT ID NCT05830929

Summary

This study offers a fertility preservation option for young female cancer patients. It involves surgically removing and freezing a piece of ovarian tissue before cancer treatments like chemotherapy, which can damage fertility. The frozen tissue can later be transplanted back to potentially restore fertility and allow for pregnancy after the patient recovers.
