This study examines whether placing a feeding tube before chemotherapy helps prevent muscle loss in people with advanced esophageal cancer. About 60 adults receiving treatment with a goal to cure will be followed. Researchers will compare muscle mass at diagnosis, before surgery, and six months after surgery to see if early feeding tube placement makes a difference.
