Poop transplants tested as new hope for bowel disease
NCT ID NCT07401680
Summary
This Canadian study is testing whether transferring healthy gut bacteria from donor stool (fecal transplant) can help control ulcerative colitis. Researchers will compare the transplant to a placebo in 85 adults with active disease to see if a larger trial is worthwhile. The goal is to reduce bowel inflammation and improve quality of life without relying on steroids.
