Fat layer could improve feel and function after penile reconstruction

NCT ID NCT07316491

Summary

This study aims to see if placing a thin layer of a patient's own fat tissue underneath a standard skin graft on the penis leads to better healing and results. It will involve 24 men who need reconstructive surgery due to injury, infection, or a condition called buried penis. Half will receive the added fat graft with their surgery, and half will have surgery alone, to compare outcomes like skin softness, length, and sexual function over 12 months.
