First seen Nov 17, 2025 · Last updated May 12, 2026 · Updated 19 times

Summary

This study tests a computer algorithm (SPOC) that simulates how a person's face will look after jaw realignment surgery. Researchers will compare the simulation to actual 3D scans taken 6 months after surgery in 30 adult patients. The goal is to give patients a realistic preview of their appearance before they decide to have surgery.
