Summary
This study looked at how breathing through a facemask-like resistance affects exercise in people with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). 52 volunteers walked on a treadmill with and without added resistance to measure shortness of breath and effort. The goal was to understand how facemasks impact exercise perception and performance in people with lung conditions.
