Could a simple eye scan spot dementia early?
NCT ID NCT03761381
Summary
This study aims to see if a special, non-invasive eye scan can detect changes in the retina linked to dementia. Researchers will compare scans from 20 people with mild dementia to scans from people without dementia. The goal is to find new ways to identify the disease by looking for protein deposits and reduced blood flow in the back of the eye.
