Summary

This study tested different methods to find and treat eye diseases like cataracts, glaucoma, and diabetic retinopathy in people aged 50 and older in Nepal. Communities were randomly assigned to one of four approaches: a full eye screening, cataract camps, a community health worker program, or no special program. The goal was to see which method works best to reduce vision loss and is most cost-effective.
