First seen Jun 24, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026 · Updated 1 time

Summary

This study compares two standard exercise programs to see which one better helps women increase muscle mass after breast cancer treatment. Thirty women aged 20-89 who have completed treatment (except chemotherapy) will follow either standard resistance training or a special 6-12-25 repetition program. The goal is to improve strength, body composition, and overall recovery.

What this could lead to

If successful, this could point toward an optimal exercise program to help breast cancer survivors regain muscle mass and strength after treatment.

What could go wrong

This is a small, early-stage study with only 30 participants, so results may not apply to all survivors. It tests exercise, not a drug, so benefits may be modest.
