Distract your brain, heal your shoulder? new study tests Attention-Shift exercise
NCT ID NCT07546084
First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026
Summary
This study tests a new exercise approach for people with long-term shoulder pain caused by rotator cuff problems. Instead of just doing standard shoulder exercises, participants will also perform movements that shift their focus away from the shoulder. The goal is to see if this attention-shift method reduces pain and improves shoulder function better than standard exercises alone. About 46 adults with at least 3 months of shoulder pain will take part in supervised sessions twice a week for 6 weeks.
