Scientists probe muscle damage after exercise in healthy men
NCT ID NCT07565376
First seen May 06, 2026 · Last updated May 08, 2026 · Updated 1 time
Summary
This study looked at how muscle damage from eccentric exercise (like lowering a weight) changes muscle strength, oxygen use, and electrical activity in 11 healthy young men. Participants did a leg exercise before and 48 hours after a muscle-damaging workout. The goal was to understand how the body adapts to muscle damage, not to test a treatment.
