First seen Jun 25, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026 · Updated 1 time
Summary
This study tests whether a 12-week program of high-intensity interval training and strength training can improve heart and metabolic health in people with psoriatic arthritis. Researchers will also measure changes in fitness, pain, fatigue, and quality of life. The trial plans to enroll 88 adults aged 18-65 with stable medication.
What this could mean
Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.
Active substance
Exercise program (high-intensity interval training and strength training)
What this could lead to
If it works, this could show that exercise is a safe, drug-free way to improve heart health, fitness, and quality of life for people with psoriatic arthritis.
What could go wrong
This is a small, early-stage trial with only 88 people. Exercise may be hard to stick with long-term, and results may not apply to everyone with psoriatic arthritis.
