Lifting weights to fight chemo weakness: new hope for lymphoma patients

NCT ID NCT05556239

Summary

This study tested whether a supervised weight training program could help people with lymphoma maintain muscle mass and strength while undergoing chemotherapy. Forty-two patients were randomly assigned to either follow the 4-month exercise program or receive usual care. Researchers measured changes in muscle, physical function, and quality of life to see if exercise could counteract the muscle-wasting effects of treatment.
