NCT ID NCT07506642
First seen Apr 04, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 13 times
Summary
This study compared two methods of liver biopsy—one through a thin needle through the skin (percutaneous) and another using an endoscope through the mouth (EUS-guided)—to see which one patients liked better. 102 adults with chronic liver disease were randomly assigned to one of the two procedures and filled out a questionnaire about their experience. The goal was to find out which method causes less discomfort and is more satisfying for patients.
