Summary
This study tested a procedure called endoscopic ultrasound-guided radiofrequency ablation (EUS-RFA) to relieve pain in 19 people with advanced pancreatic cancer that could not be removed by surgery. The treatment uses heat to target nerves that send pain signals. The goal was to reduce pain and the need for painkillers, and to improve quality of life.
