Summary

This study tests whether the drug etrasimod can prevent pouchitis, a common complication after surgery for ulcerative colitis. About 40 high-risk adults will receive either etrasimod or a placebo for 48 weeks. The goal is to see if the drug reduces the number of pouchitis episodes.
