First seen May 02, 2026 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 1 time
Summary
This study tested whether ethosuximide, a low-cost seizure medication, can reduce pain and improve quality of life in adults with peripheral nerve pain caused by injury or surgery. About 114 participants received either the drug or a placebo for 43 days. The goal was to see if blocking T-type calcium channels in nerves could offer a new, affordable pain relief option.
