First seen Jun 25, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026 · Updated 1 time

About 40 occasional cannabis users who also drink alcohol will use a driving simulator after taking controlled doses. The goal is to understand the risks of driving under the influence of these substances.

Active substance
cannabis and alcohol
What this could lead to
If successful, this study could help understand how alcohol and cannabis together impair driving, potentially leading to better safety guidelines.
What could go wrong
This is a small, early-phase study with only 40 participants, so results may not apply to everyone. It uses a driving simulator, not real roads.
