Summary

This study tested a smartphone-based prayer program called PUSH (Pray Until Something Happens) to see if it could help adults with sickle cell disease feel less stress and pain. 40 people who had pain and used opioids took part. They listened to guided prayer recordings on their phones. The goal was to see if this simple, drug-free approach could improve pain, sleep, and stress, and reduce the need for painkillers.
