Summary
This study is testing if giving a low dose of the drug esketamine during surgery can help reduce anxiety and depression in breast cancer patients who already have mild to severe depression. It will involve 142 women undergoing breast cancer surgery. Researchers will compare those who receive esketamine during their operation to those who receive standard care to see if it improves their emotional state, sleep, pain, and overall recovery.
