First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated Apr 29, 2026 · Updated 24 times
Summary
This study tests a new device called the Enhanced Lithotripsy System (ELS) that uses sound waves to break urinary stones into tiny fragments that can pass naturally with less discomfort. About 101 adults with a single stone in the ureter will receive the procedure and be checked at 30 and 60 days to see if the stone is gone or small enough to pass. The goal is to reduce pain, improve quality of life, and help people return to normal activities faster.
