Summary
This study looked at 113 adults with carpal tunnel syndrome to see if one type of surgery (endoscopic) leads to less pain and better hand function sooner than the standard open surgery. Participants were treated by one of three hand surgeons at Stanford University. The researchers measured pain and function using questionnaires and also tracked when patients returned to work.
