Fatty liver may be a hidden clue for heart trouble

NCT ID NCT06392828

First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026

Summary

This study looked at whether fatty liver disease can be an early warning sign for heart disease, separate from known risk factors. Researchers measured blood markers of blood vessel damage in 63 people aged 50-69 who were already at high risk for heart problems. The goal was to better understand how the liver and heart are connected, not to test a new treatment.
