First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026

Summary

This study tests whether adding a trauma-focused therapy called EMDR to usual care can help reduce trauma symptoms in people with schizophrenia spectrum disorders. Many people with these conditions have experienced trauma, which can make their illness worse, but trauma treatment is rarely offered. The trial will enroll 187 participants who will receive up to 26 sessions of EMDR and be followed for 6 months after therapy to see if benefits last.
