Acupuncture with electricity may help men stop leaking after prostate removal
NCT ID NCT07245342
First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026
Summary
This study tests whether early electroacupuncture (a type of acupuncture with mild electric pulses) can help men regain bladder control after prostate cancer surgery. About 216 men aged 18 to 80 will receive either real or fake electroacupuncture three times a week for six weeks, starting one week after surgery. Researchers will check how many men achieve full urinary control at 3 months, and track their progress up to a year.
