Surgeons' tools may leave a digital fingerprint
NCT ID NCT06873347
First seen Jan 28, 2026 · Last updated Jun 18, 2026 · Updated 26 times
Summary
This study looks at electrical signals from surgical tools during different types of surgery. Researchers want to see if each surgery type creates a unique pattern, like a digital fingerprint. About 160 adults having certain gynecologic or breast surgeries will take part. The goal is to use these patterns for training, not to treat or diagnose any disease.
