Summary

This study tests a drug called efgartigimod for people with autoimmune encephalitis, a condition where the immune system attacks the brain. About 170 adults and teens will receive either the drug or a placebo to see if it improves symptoms like memory loss, seizures, and weakness. The study lasts up to 3 years and includes a follow-up period where treatment can be restarted if symptoms return.
