NCT ID NCT07455682
First seen Mar 08, 2026 · Last updated Apr 30, 2026 · Updated 8 times
Summary
This study uses EEG, a non-invasive brain wave test, to see how the brains of people with disorders of consciousness (like unresponsive wakefulness syndrome or minimally conscious state) process sounds. Researchers want to know if these brain responses can better tell apart different levels of awareness and predict recovery a year later. The study involves 42 adults with severe brain injury and does not offer any treatment.
