Summary

This study tested whether giving a mild brain stimulation (tDCS) when patients are more alert can improve their level of consciousness. Sixteen adults in a minimally conscious state took part. Researchers used EEG brainwave readings to pick the best time of day for stimulation and measured changes in awareness and brain activity.
