Summary

This study was designed to understand why electroconvulsive therapy (ECT) sometimes causes temporary memory problems. Researchers planned to measure brain waves in people with severe depression or bipolar disorder receiving ECT. The study was withdrawn before any participants were enrolled, so no results are available.
