First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026
Summary
This study tests a new device called ECLIPSIUM that uses a dissolvable material to hold mesh in place during hernia surgery. The goal is to see if it reduces the chance of the hernia coming back compared to current methods. About 240 adults with small to medium-sized hernias will take part. The study will track safety and hernia recurrence for up to a year after surgery.
