Heart check in nursing homes could cut hospital trips

Summary
This study looks at whether giving routine heart ultrasounds to nursing home residents can help catch heart problems early and reduce hospital visits. About 1050 residents will take part. Researchers will track how well the screening works and whether it leads to fewer heart failure flare-ups and unplanned hospital stays over one year.
