First seen Jun 25, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026 · Updated 2 times

Summary

This study tests whether a telementoring program called ECHO can improve the quality of palliative care for advanced cancer patients in underserved areas of Kenya, Nigeria, Ghana, South Africa, India, and Ethiopia. Researchers will train local doctors through online clinics and workshops, then measure changes in patients' quality of life and symptom distress. The goal is to see if this model can help expand access to specialty care in rural and underserved communities.
