Heart scans reveal blood transfusion effects in ER anemia study

Summary

This study looks at how a blood transfusion changes the heart's function in anemic older adults in the emergency room. Researchers will use ultrasound to check the heart before, right after, and 15 minutes after the transfusion. The goal is to see which heart measurements change the most. About 116 people will take part.
