First seen Mar 07, 2026 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 6 times
Summary
This study tested whether eccentric exercises (lengthening the muscle while it works) can reduce pain, improve hip movement, and boost quality of life in people with iliopsoas tendonitis—a condition causing groin and hip pain. 44 adults aged 20-55 with this tendon issue took part. One group did standard physical therapy, while the other added eccentric exercises. Researchers measured pain, range of motion, and quality of life to see which approach worked better.
