Could a tiny electric needle ease your hip pain without surgery?

NCT ID NCT07548034

First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026

Summary

This study looks at whether a minimally invasive technique called ultrasound-guided percutaneous needle electrolysis, combined with home exercises, can reduce hip pain and improve movement in people with femoroacetabular impingement (hip impingement). About 30 adults with long-lasting groin pain will be randomly assigned to get either the needle treatment plus exercises or exercises alone. Researchers will measure pain and function over five weeks to see if the added treatment helps more than exercise by itself.
