First seen Apr 16, 2026 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 5 times

Summary

This study looks at two treatment paths for people with Crohn's disease who have a narrowed bowel (stricture) and symptoms like blockages. One group gets surgery early, while the other tries medication first and may have surgery later if needed. The goal is to see which approach leads to better symptom control and quality of life within a year. About 138 adults with active inflammation and failed prior treatments will take part.
