First seen Apr 03, 2026 · Last updated May 08, 2026 · Updated 5 times
Summary
This study looks at the best time to start blood thinners (heparin) in people who have had a brain bleed due to high blood pressure. The goal is to prevent dangerous blood clots in the legs or lungs without causing more bleeding in the brain. About 200 participants will be randomly assigned to start heparin either within the first 2 days or on the third day after hospital admission, and researchers will track clot formation, bleeding complications, and survival.
