New rehab approach aims to get stroke patients back to daily life faster
NCT ID NCT07311304
Summary
This study is testing if starting a specific type of physical therapy very soon after a stroke helps people recover better. It compares 'task-oriented' therapy, which focuses on practicing everyday activities like walking or buttoning a shirt, to standard physical therapy. About 158 patients in Egypt will be randomly assigned to one of the two therapy programs to see which one leads to greater independence three months later.
