Summary
This study looks at whether special reading lessons can help young children (ages 4-8) with intellectual disabilities who use pictures or devices to communicate. Researchers will compare different timing and combinations of reading programs in kindergarten and first grade. The goal is to see if these programs improve skills like letter sounds, vocabulary, and word recognition. 120 children will take part.
