Summary

This study looked at whether starting dialysis early helps patients who develop acute kidney injury after heart surgery. The trial planned to include adults with moderate kidney damage within 7 days of surgery, but was stopped early with only 44 participants. The main goal was to see if early dialysis lowers the chance of death during or shortly after hospital stay.
