First seen Jan 09, 2026 · Last updated May 01, 2026 · Updated 15 times
Summary
This study checked how often patients with chronic kidney disease were referred to a kidney specialist at the right time and with the right treatment. Researchers looked at records of 345 adults in Spain who had a teleconsultation with a kidney doctor in 2024. The goal was to see if current referral practices follow medical guidelines, not to test a new treatment.
