Ear seeds trialed to soothe Smokers' cravings in mental health wards
NCT ID NCT07466875
Summary
This study is testing if adding ear acupressure (small seeds pressed on specific ear points) to standard nicotine patches or gum helps people in psychiatric hospitals cope better with cravings and anxiety when they can't smoke. It will involve 60 patients who are required to stop smoking during their hospital stay. Researchers will compare results between patients receiving real ear acupressure and those receiving a placebo version to see if it provides extra relief.
