Summary
This study tested a new lighting system that changes brightness and color throughout the day to mimic sunlight, installed in hospital rooms for people with major depression. 60 inpatients were randomly assigned to either the dynamic LED light or standard room light. The goal was to see if the dynamic light improved depression symptoms and quality of life after three weeks.
