Tiny hand nerves may hold key to Dupuytren's return

NCT ID NCT06142929

First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026

Summary

This study observes 80 adults with Dupuytren disease who are having surgery to remove thickened tissue in their hands. Researchers want to see if tiny nerve bundles found in the tissue, and whether they are cut during surgery, affect the chance of the disease coming back. They will also check for nerve-related chemicals in the removed tissue. The goal is to better understand why Dupuytren disease recurs, not to test a new treatment.
