First seen May 21, 2026 · Last updated May 21, 2026
Summary
This study looked at 42 infants who had surgery for a birth defect called esophageal atresia (types III and IV). The goal was to find out how many develop dumping syndrome, a condition where blood sugar drops after eating, by the time they are 3.5 months old. Babies took a glucose drink and had their blood sugar measured, along with any symptoms like diarrhea or sweating.
