Brain and body workout at home may slow Parkinson's dementia

Summary

This study tests a home-based training program for people with Parkinson's disease who also have mild cognitive impairment and are at high risk for dementia. Participants will cycle on a stationary bike while doing brain games on a tablet, three times a week for 30 minutes. The goal is to see if this combined physical and mental exercise can prevent or slow down problems with daily activities like managing finances or using a phone. The study involves 42 participants and will follow them for 12 months.
