First seen Jun 09, 2026 · Last updated Jun 15, 2026 · Updated 1 time

Summary

This study looks at whether the position of a neck muscle before dry needling changes how well the treatment works for chronic neck pain. About 80 adults with neck pain lasting over 3 months will be randomly assigned to have the muscle stretched or shortened during two needling sessions, one week apart. Researchers will measure pain intensity, disability, and fear of movement to see which position gives better results.
